Search Congress it’s the first congress of search engines in Barcelona. A unique theme, an original format, high-quality conferences and renowned experts, all the ingredients to provide the essential knowledge about search engines. The event is focused on search engines, seo - sem, and search marketing.

Search Congress was born first, because we are passionate about the topic of search engines and we want to share it with you. Secondly because we believe that the public does not have the necessary tools and knowledge to take advantage of the search engines.

It will be a place of learning and networking of the Internet and Search industry in general. We have a program full of surprises and we are confident that by the end of this great event everyone will return with a lot of information, news, contacts and ideas of how to keep your business on the Internet. 

Our program is really complete but we also design some workshops for companies and experts who want to know the essentials and go deeper in their knowledge.

We would like to give a big thank you to all the ENB members who attended ENB’s first Christmas Dinner and Awards Ceremony. We all had a very festive evening enjoying the great food and hospitality of the Hotel Casanova. Many thanks also to Marloes Damon from the hotel who organised the evening.

During the evening two awards were given to two very special ENB members - Jeaninne Horowitz for her support and work with ENB and her students at the Pompeu Fabra University and John Woodward for his continued support and dedication to the group over the years.

To all members who were unable to attend the dinner we would like to wish you a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

It’s nearing that festive season, and ENB are ready to celebrate the Christmas festivities in style!

ENB invite members to join them on Wednesday 17th December at 20.00h for our Christmas Party.

The Christmas Party will start with a sit-down dinner at the Hotel Casanova followed by drinks and frivolities in the hotel bar afterwards.

The meal will be 40 € per person and will include the following:

Last Friday 21st November ENB Board members attended an evening held by the network Barcelona Entrepreneurship City.  This was one of many events hosted by the new business club The Gild and as part of the ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week 17th-23rd November 2008′ (www.enterpriseweek.org.uk)

The evening kicked off with a discussion on how to improve the entrepreneurial environment of Barcelona.

This was followed by an interesting presentation by Philipp Schroeder (Founder & Managing Partner of Active Capital Partners) and Christian Siegele (former Partner of 3i Venture Capital and an international business angel) on how to “Prepare your company for difficult times”.

The evening came to a close with an inspiring presentation and discussion on the new concept of ‘Venturepreneurs’. Successful entrepreneurs and founders of the organisation www.venturepreneurs.com discussed their own experiences and interests in working as business angels for start-up companies. Being entrepreneurs themselves, they look to combine funding and investment with advice and experience. The speakers featured were:

The evening was a great success and it was encouraging to see the coming together of various entrepreneurial networks. We were able to exchange ideas and thoughts on how to improve the entrepreneurial spirit in Barcelona, as well as to look at how the various networks could join forces and work together.

As a result ENB hope to have representatives from Barcelona Activa, EO and The Guild talking at one of our evenings in the new year.
